yes, but I think the sulmtaler males are not light colored, they are: "The black, russet, orange males are the Wheaten variety". Sulmtaler thread folks say the light colored rooster I have is not sulmtaler. This breed id stuff is so interesting!

thats a beautiful bird! Yes, you would think my unidentified rooster could be a sulmtaler, except that the sulmtaler roosters are black, russet, orange, and yellow legged to boot. I'm planning on getting sulmtaler hatching eggs next spring and hoping to be able to get a breeding group going...

sigh. A woman in New Brighton MN hatched eggs from traders on byc. she was supposed to hatch for me: icelandics, swedish flower hens, and crested cream legbars. She mixed up her hatch something fierce. She stopped responding to me and to others that she had hatched eggs for. I have, for...

Hello, your mystery chick # 1 is definitely definitely a sulmtaler. Here is one of mine: I think chick # 2 is also a sulmtaler - your first one is wheaten, and I don't know enough to tell you about the second. Funny thing: I had eggs hatched for me last May, and there were some mixups...

hans/hanna looks sweet! will keep my fingers crossed she is a pullet. and Audun....is he icelandic? and do icelandics ever have white legs? (you can see what I'm thinking...) and thanks RedIII. We'll see what these pullets turn out like as they grow older. And as far as I can tell...

thanks for the pic of the swf rooster. I had ordered swf's, but didn't get any, unless the roo turns out to be one. The folks on the swf thread say no, not a swf because of his leg color - he has white legs, not yellow. He isn't a sulmtaler, either. And don't worry, I would not identify...

wow! 30 breeds, that is amazing. I assume you are running a couple of flocks, not 30 flocks? I'm kind of disappointed that she isn't a maran, as one supposedly was fished out of the pools for me. I don't have any other pullets that could possibly be marans, the two I was uncertain of are...

wow, so you raise both icelandics and legbars? How cool. what did you think about the last photo of that sort of choc colored crested pullet? I was supposed to get a choc maran, not sure if that is her or if she is icelandic. I think the woman who hatched just got overwhelmed and got them...

huh! your pullet looks like a crested cream legbar pullet! I find Icelandics so confusing. I ordered 4 each of icelandics, swedish flower hens, crested cream legbars, and superbluelayers (cross between araucana & leghorn), and 3 auracanas, plus when I picked up the day old chicks I also got...

Hello, I have some young chickens, about 12 weeks, that were hatched for me by a woman who hatches to order - my order got a bit mixed up, so out of the 16 chicks ordered, I got a very strange assortment. I did order icelandics, and think I have two roos and two pullets. Mind taking a look...
