Besides stuffed animals.... I also use battery operated tea lights... sometimes the chicks will chirp (especially when there are just two of them) if it's to dark... I put one where the water is....and the other at the edge of the stuffed animals.. I don't know why...but it sure seems to help..!

I think you said you just got 2 chicks....I may have read that wrong... but what you might want to do is add a little stuffed animal in there.....that they can climb on or under for warmth.... It kinda takes the place of mom... Or maybe a feather duster.... I have noticed that young chicks...
