Hello everyone! I sold 3 roosters this a.m. :weee. My daughter was in tears because they were the first chickens we hatched. She was very attached, but what can you do- we don't need three roosters. We have some Swedish Flower eggs hatching today. I hope I get a better hatch rate this time...

What animal got them? Do you secure them at night in a coop? Trying to figure out how to coop them.....

1876- Two of the hatched were from silver Ameraucanas, one from an EE. We have two Roos, buff Ameraucana and a Swedish flower. They will be EEs or barnyard mixes. We wanted to test the bator before we started hatching some purebred eggs.

Three hatched, I think the other 2 eggs may be duds,,but I will do a quick candle when I put the chicks into the brooder tonight.

This is better than Christmas.

Hatch day today! One chick is out, 2 others pipped through. The one out is peeping up a storm. My kiddos are so excited. Guess we won't be doing anything else today, can't drag kids away from the bator.

Who does the blood test? I am new to this, so speak slowly or please share any links that explain it all? What is the cost of everything? Thanks!
