base coat is not white, and the black is diluted. It has pretty splash coloring though :) Paints are more distinct between white and black. My splash hen hatched out very light, nearly white, but as she gets older her splash markings came out.

What is it that leaves you unimpressed? Structure, color, markings?

99% sure :) Has a big comb and wattles, none of the others from the same hatch have that. Also acts very roo like..keeping the flock together, chasing off the other chickens, etc :) and he loves to dance :)

This is my 7 week old paint roo Picaso. Is it normal for them to develop more painting as they grow? As a young chick he had only one spot but every week it seems there are new black areas popping up, some just a few hairs, others in small patches. I also have a black hen that was from paint...
