Have you never noticed that if you wash them and then put them in the fridge that they can pick up strong odors? I also never put mine in the fridge. I keep a wire basket on the counter and it is full of eggs...........that never get washed.

We do not "sanitize" the eggs, If there is one covered in poo, I just give it to the dogs/pigs/ducks/chickens..whatever. You are taking off the "bloom" by all that scrubbing but you know what?..........we each do it our own way I am old and never had a problem with not sanitizing the eggs...
