Every Friday, though I don't know if they will the next 2 weeks due to the holidays. They haven't had them the past 2 years but Friday fell on either the holiday or the holiday eve. You can always call them and find out.

Yep, still on Fridays. The auction starts about 5:30 but there are people lined up in the parking lot from at least 2 pm on. They are on central time. Birds can be sold outside for free or inside (auction) for either 10% or 15% of the sale, can't remember for sure.
Goats, sheep...
I was telling my dad about the free range rabbits, and he said his brother had a pen with rabbits in it. The mamas would dig holes in the ground for their young, and lay in front of the holes to keep the bucks away. I told him that is not free range, if they are in a cage, so I was wondering how...

He knows I want ducks - he's talked me out of ducks twice, now, LOL.
Those NH Red roos were my gang bangers - one even tried to mate with the cow!! :o
If it held still long enough, they were on it. Nasty roos - glad they are gone.

I'd love to - not sure hubby would "let" me go without adult supervision, though
We'd have to drag Cindy along, too - she'd love it.

Peace -

Tammy, I just noticed your siggy. How can you 'free range' rabbits?? I thought about putting mine (up to 3 now, need to update siggy again lol), and have thought about putting them in a chicken tractor, but idk about free ranging. They would have to be pretty tame right? Or do you just leave...

Yeah the guy that has the plastic crates? I think they were for transporting? Well, week before last, I bought 2 OEGB pullets off him. This last week, he still had 6 (I think) roos, and told me I could get all the roos, plus a cage, for $15. I was like What the he11 am I gonna do with...
I have finally decided that i will take a really big cage with me whenever I go. I have had to but a cage there too many times! It seems I buy less when I do bring a cage. I have been pretty good the last 2 weeks, and have not bought any more chickens! Of course, that's not counting the 5...

The auction is on Abrell Rd. If you know where Sano is, you turn right at the curve that is by the store. Go down that road a little ways, and you'll see Abrell Rd. It goes only to the left. The auction house is on the right, right after you turn.

It is a weekly auction, held every Friday night. I have been told that they have horses there once a month, but have been there every time for a month, and haven't seen any yet. Not sure of the address, but the name is Sano Goat and Sheep auction (mispell in thread name). I do know...
Any one go to this one? Every Friday nite, in the Sano Community. Very good prices on most poultry. I recently bought a banty hen with 6 chicks for $1 each!
