The chance is so slim that it's not an issue... Especially if you use the pull only style trap, and sweet bait. I use the pull only for that reason, the double trigger style will give u non target catches simply by design. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I caught that fisher behind my coops, I wanted to see what was cruising by them at night.... Coops are secure so I released him so I could recapture him when the trapping season opened, caught him in a conibear bucket trap second day of the season.
Good advice.... One thing I would like to add, when using a cage trap make a tunnel. If you have raccoons getting in your trash block the cans around the trap so they can't pick it up and leave some bait around the cans. They love small spaces so I set the trap back in a bit when they squeeze in...
