Roaming Dogs Caught on Game Camera Several Times

You are right. I did a second follow-up video after this happened. The first one was back in 2016 when the other two dogs were giving us a problem. Of course, I still don't know who they belonged to or who these belong to, if they aren't just dumpees. My laws back me up. Georgia dog laws and...

Roaming Dogs Caught on Game Camera Several Times

Well, over a year later and here we go again, same situation, two different strange dogs. I spent awhile terrorizing two dogs that got into my perimeter fence and were at the barn pen, using my grown son's wooden t'ball bat. After I ran them around and around (one got out fast, the other was a...

After accidentally washing the SD card in my sweatpants (yeah, it's been that kind of day), I let it dry out and it works! The bad thing is what I saw on there. Not sure if this is the same brindle dog or not, but the tail is held up the same way. Pic is not good enough to see to identify though...

He only shot at one of them and it yelped, but got out of the fence so darn fast, wasn't sure where it was hit or how badly, and I looked for a blood trail, but with birdshot like that, not sure there would have been one I could see. He could have just been stung pretty good. The other one...

...not even a mouse? Well, probably mice, but they're in danger from my chickens (and the cat!)

Thanks, all's quiet out there, it seems. Not even a coyote or fox heard in recent weeks.

Roaming Dogs Caught on Game Camera Several Times

A week later, at the next download this afternoon, still not one dog on video, only deer and my cat heading out to the pasture and back. Very relieved that they seem to have moved on or out or something, but the camera is still set.

Updating the thread. Not one sign of the dogs, or any dogs, at all. Maybe the dogs were with someone who was visiting the area, not sure, but after that day that DH terrorized them, they never returned. Guess he's pretty scary, LOL.

Days later, still no sign of the dogs, only deer and a possum. This guy seems to be growing up around our pasture. His rack is certainly expanding now.

I don't think the dog got more than a sharp jolt with birdshot from that distance, but if even one of the pellets got under the skin, hope the owner realized what must have happened to it. The other one was just completely terrorized trying to get out since he obviously forgot how he got in and...

Yup, seems they got a good scare; either that, or they just haven't passed in front of the game camera. And if the black dog had any buckshot in him, maybe the owner who had to dig it out decided they'd better stay home for awhile. I have not downloaded the pictures for a couple of days but...

Thank you. I hope soon I'll feel better about being able to keep them out. We've lived in both Colorado, Utah (twice there) and Ohio. Loved the west, Ohio not so much. Yes, that's it. Our property is sort of like a land island surrounded by roads. The main lot is perimeter fenced with the...

Oh, for @bobbi-j a view from one side of my deck, zoomed in a tiny bit, of Piney Mtn. Watson is to the right of it, a giant compared to Piney. I'd so miss this if I had to leave here. And cabins on Watson Mtn. When we moved here, there was pretty much just one straight across from us. Now...

Roaming Dogs Caught on Game Camera Several Times

Still no sign of the dogs, however, I was jolted out of bed at around 3:45 a.m. by a fox alarm-barking. I listened for a few minutes, then started to doze again, then, again, more barking followed by some sort of growly sound in between the barks. I have not heard a fox around here for quite...

Thanks, it's my happy place. I live in my vacation home, no desire to go anywhere else.

DH may need a week for recovery. I made him take Naproxen immediately when he got in and so did I. His back is pretty bad, but I guess he really didn't want to pay someone to do it. My arms and hands are so sore, even though I lift weights fairly regularly in order to be able to lift the 50#...

Nope. I downloaded the game cam, caught deer, a rabbit, my cat at 4 a.m. coming back from the pasture lot through the livestock fencing, in the same spot as a big rabbit an hour earlier, but no dogs. Haven't seen them with my own eyes, either. DH and I began clearing that overgrown lower fence...

Thanks, Michelle. Asking folks for estimates for the bush hogging that entire side of the property today. Hopefully, someone will want to make some quick cash for a couple of hours work. And maybe, depending on how that goes, maybe we can get a lead on someone to do other work for us, as money...

This is what I printed, the two sections that apply to our situation. Quote: They are most definitely constituting a nuisance, are not restrained and are chasing animals. And they've now damaged my property (fence). So, I'll have to think what to do with these flyers now. They've really...

Roaming Dogs Caught on Game Camera Several Times

There are a few local online yard sale groups on Facebook, but the last time I tried that, all I got were abusive comments. They felt I had a responsibility to find the dogs' owners, to catch the dogs, etc, etc, etc, that I was "a nut with a gun", etc, etc. It wasn't worth the abuse so I took it...
