Our chickens were acting weird today and I think it was a predator need like they kept run place to place and going places so how do I know

They're are a number of ways to know if a predator was around. You could look for tracks if it was a raccoon, coyote, fox, or cat. You could watch the sky, as birds of prey make chickens very uneasy. If you have a trail camera you could borrow or set one up to see what stops by to look around at night
You could set up a live trap to see what you catch (live trap in case its the neighbors cat

).
There could be another reason for your chickens behavior, however.

Best of luck with your flock!

Chickens are loved by every critter known. You will have predators, and need to have a safe coop, and a run for times when they can't be out. Live traps are good, but don't then relocate predators! Some people have game cameras set up, and that works very well to ID visitors. Mary

How do I know it's a raccoon I never saw he tracks cause there's a lot of leaves in the way and he house next to us and only has a dog and since the dog kill our chicks they keep him in a cage

Buy yourself a Have-a-Heart trap. They sell them at just about every farm type store. Trust me, even if you don't need one now, you will at some point. And its a touchy situation to keep loosing birds when you need one and have to track it down short notice.

When I'm curious about what's prowling, I set one or two of mine. I typically bait with marshmallows since I usually catch raccoons when they're in use. You can use other things like wet cat food or leftover meat scraps, but I always seem to catch someone's cat or small dog when I go that route. When we catch something, it never leaves the cage alive (obviously I turn the neighbors cats and dogs loose, I don't think I've ever caught the same cat or dog twice :p ).

Good luck.
