Just found out I'm pregnant with our second (yay!!) I'm not sure what precautions I should take around my hens to avoid any health problems or parasites or whatnot that could hurt me or the baby. My husband is willing to take over some duties but I dont want to stop taking care of my girls!

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Congratulations!

I'm not quite sure. Sorry.
But according to parrot owners, a lot of people get by without a problem. Make sure things are clean, they are healthy without any signs of infections or diseases. If they show signs of sickness, I would stay away from them, to play it safe.

Best of luck! I hope some one else can help you out a little more.

There isn't anything that I can think of but I really don't know.

All I can tell you for sure is CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

ETA: We will need pictures to confirm this condition. Lol

Congratulations! I can't speak to quail but I'm due this month and i've been taking care of my chickens and ducks this whole time. My doctor said there was nothing to worry about and to just wash my hands. I figure old farm families had lots of children and I'm sure women were still out there tending the critters.
