power out

"tiny" (that's it's name) asked if you could make a hat for them too. that would be totally off the wall, a chicken with a chicken hat on.
the chick really is tiny, I have never seen anything quite as small as this one before.

ha ha that is truly funny. your doggies must be real timid.
I used to have a staffie that was like a sweet little angel, until he met other dogs off the lead. then he turned into a voracious monster. I think he was used as a fighting dog prior to my getting him.
I trained him to walk off the lead and not move unless I told him he could. however, put him near an un-leashed dog and he turned into a savage uncontrollable beast.
so I only used to walk him across an old munitions making factory from the second world war. I had about 10 miles of uninterrupted freedom from others, walking these weird ruins which at one time had it's own housing estate for the workers and several pillboxes along the river for waterside defences.

I went to buy more eggs a couple of days ago and ended up getting three young hens instead, 2 orpingtons and a strange little speckled black and white thing.

I do apologise for not responding sooner, I have been rather busy this past couple of weeks re-tiling the bathroom floor and cutting up trees ready for winter fuel. it's amazing how quickly time passes.

Does anyone have a guardian dog for their poultry?

Ohhhh, my chihuahuas are far far from timid. Nobody but nobody enters our front yard, lol. Their tenacity really worries me because they would take on a coyote. I often thought about getting a Guardian dog for my Chihuahuas and for my turkeys because of the Coyotes. When Pyrenees are trained to guard sheep they are raised with them as puppies. I wonder how many dead turkeys it will take to raise a Pyrenees puppy to guard them, lol.

Don't worry about the time between responses @capper2013 but make sure you use my @IceAngel moniker when you do because then I get notified, otherwise I might miss it.
