Stupid Questions Thread

My stupid question for today...

Why aren't the highest number of posts per member updated every day? The counts they are showing today are the same counts per member as yesterday. This happens often.

I asked this question once before on the Forum Feedback thread and all I got back was the jokes/games posts don't count. I don't post anything on that forum, never have. No answer back on that question. I did ask again today, we'll see what comes back.

If the stats are so important to show some of them on the front page, why aren't they updated every day?

(Just being grouchy today, don't mind me :rant )
my stupid question, where are you finding this information, I'm usually in mobile format, but I change to desktop to be nosey but I haven't been able to find such tantalizing information.

Wow, now I can be really nosey, double thanks

I guess my best excuse for getting hung up on stuff like that, I spent years for an insurance company working with data and statistics. Incorrectly reported data drives me nuts, especially when I can't get an explanation as to why.

Ok, I'm over it (for now, lol).

Ohhhh my, @Wishing4Wings those little animals are lovely. Did you make them? You have given me more ideas for hats, lol. Now all I need is for it to snow so that I have an excuse to make them, lol.

Okay, here is a stupid question, and I honestly think I'm the only one who doesn't know this. On a chat thread that goes along with a role-play, do you need to put the role-playing rules required for the actual role-play? (And yes, I have read the sticky thread explaining new rules, but it doesn't mention anything about that)
Ohh no chickenraiser you are not the only one who doesn't know that. First of all I didn't know that there was role-playing or role-playing rules (dibs on the French Maid role btw). However, due to all the helpful guidance in this Forum, I now know how to search for them, lol.

Well I don't really know the answer, however, my brain is thinking of several possibilities. If it's imbedded in the program, then maybe it has to do with refreshing the site. I know that if I don't reboot my email sometimes it doesn't show new mails. Also when I had a very unreliable dial-up connection sometimes it showed old data for days.
If the tally is not automatic and it has to be done by someone, maybe they are busy having Amigurumi jello shots, lol, or sleeping them off because they had too many, lol.

I watch that section daily and it's only fairly recently that they have started not updating them for 2 or 3 days. When I once asked what was the time period involved for" most" of anything. I was told BYC doesn't handle that. It appears very random

Well, I'll just look it up somewhere else. I really don't need to know. I saw the question somewhere and was curious. Thanks for trying!
