Hello poultry aficionados, I have six mallard ducks coming from E-fowl. Does any one know if they get along with turkeys. tom

With enough space, separate feeders, and a careful introduction, YES!

Welcome to BYC, Tom! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

They would get along best if they were raised together. It will be hard to introduce them but it's not impossible. Be sure the ducks are quarantined for at least 2 weeks before being introduced to the turkeys. And make sure they have lots of space!

Nice to meet you Tom, welcome to Backyard Chickens. I think if the ducks and turkeys have a mate they should be okay together. But if it ends up you have all f-emale ducks, and all tom turkeys - randy turkeys could kill a duck hen trying to breed her.

Thank you; members for your input about mallard ducks and turkeys living together. I will take it all into consideration. Does anyone know or allowed to mention a hatchery that sells healthy birds with nice personalities? Thanks Tom

Thank you for the tip on quarantine. I am always concerned about disease and I would not have thought of that. Was your buddy with the black hat the chuck wagon driver on the 1950s T.V. series Wagon Train with Ward Bond? Tom

I paid to have sexed that is the best I can do. Can turkeys be sexed? Thank you for consideration

Thank you for the tip I will call them this a.m... Also, Great looking feathers!!!!!! Tom
