Shrink wrapped? and can it be helped.

I slowly started to pick away shell and what was not attached . Only started to help as duckling had been in same spot and no progress in 12 hours and seemed like it could not move very far compared to its siblings. Any way to finish? it is still chirping and trying to move head.

That pic is kind of blurry, but that doesn't look ready yet. Unless it's distortion in the pic, it looks like there are still a lot of vessels running through the membrane. The membrane is going to dry very quickly and shrink further with that much of it exposed. What I do in cases where I have to do that to an unhatched embry is mix some bactracin with distilled water and apply it by dipping a qtip in the solution and gently rolling it over the entire exposed membrane.

The egg is going to need to go back in a bator until probably at least tomorrow. Do you have one you can use that doesn't have hatched ducklings in it, or that you can take hatched ducklings out of?
