Hi everyone! I'm new to all things chickens. Just got 4 barred rock chicks 3 weeks ago and am just about finished building the coop and run all by myself out of free materials (except the hardware cloth- I spent to get the best!)

Many questions to come- thanks in advance!

Good for you - hardware cloth - go to the head of your class. One of the best things you can do for your birds.

Barred Plymouth Rocks are sweethearts, we have 3 in our mixed flock and they are good layers plus have nice temperaments. Way to go on using hardware cloth on your coop, that will help keep your birds safe.
