I live in Florida and have 3 hens 2 americanas and a black sexlink. I bought them the end of January and I still havent gotten my first egg from any of them. I have a coop with nesting boxes (that they like using as a litter box) and I let them roam my backyard, I check their coop and all there little spots they like to hang out daily to see if they have laid anything yet but they havent. They are healthy, feed and watered well and have plenty of space to pester my dogs :) , roam and eat bugs.

also have you checked your yard? they may be just laying around the yard. Try keeping them in the coop for a few days without letting them out too see if theyre laying. most hens wont lay in a nesting box the first time. they lay where ever. and if they have been laying in the yard, they'll keep laying in the yard. Also they wont want to lay in a poopie nesting box

I check the whole yard even the little places that they like to hide and I clean and replace the pine shaving twice a week. I will lock them up tonight and tomorrow to see if they are laying. Thank you :)

What are you feeding? Do they have extra calcium available? Sometimes foraging will dilute the layer feed enough that they may need an extra boost of calcium. Also spoiling with too many treats and table scraps can dilute nutrition or encourage them to ignore their complete feed. Sometimes its hard to tell if they're actually eating their feed if its in a place where birds and critters can partake.
