Started raising chickens ( 4 barred rock hens) a few weeks ago. My daughter-in-law got me interested in the hobby. I'm retired after (32 years) in the fire service and also enjoy wood working, traveling, reading and gardening. I learned soooo much from the BYC website that I had to become a member. I will be posting my coop build story and pictures soon.

It was the best and sometimes hardest 32 years of my life, but I enjoyed every day. Thanks for your comment.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on drumstick diva; thank you for your years in the fire service.
