hi,
i'm a new member with about 40 years experience "keeping" poultry. I even had one bantam live to be 14! she died march 2014 while sitting in my lap watching tv in the evening which we'd been doing for her last year or so ( after her mate died). I've been raising a new batch of pullet layers to sell next month and have my own layers (about a dozen) along with a few banties for fun. never thought I would ever be without my "girls" but have health issues that force me to give up just about everyone. i'll keep my 3 banties -- that's manageable -- but need to find homes for my dozen layers. can anyone help??
my own layers (not the pullets) consist of 2 and 3 yr olds including Andalusians, Cornish, americanas and a few production layers (hybrids). they're all hand-raised and fairly mellow. they do still lay BUT sporatically.
I also have a ton of egg boxes and some water fountains that i'll donate to any adopters.
thanks for your interest.
