I'm trying to figure out which of my new little ones are roosters (so I don't end up with more than one in the little flock!) but I'm not quite sure when it comes to the polish crested babies. Can anyone let me know if this is a boy or a girl? He/she is about 11-12 weeks old.

Can you tell me why you think Pullet. I Have 4 of these mine are black white crested buff and gold laced. They are the same age 11- 12 weeks. What do you look for between the male and female. Thanks for the help
With those short smooth feathers and rounded crest, you have a pullet. Polish cockerels have wild, long, pointed crest feathers sometimes described as the "rock star" look.

This in my gold laced polish rooster. He is the same age as your girl. I hope the picture helps

Can anyone help? I've got two Polish - one being a Black White Crested and the other a Silver Laced. I know the BWC is a pullet, but I'm not sure about the Silver Laced. I've called the Silver Laced a "he" since he was a wee chick, but I'd like to know for sure. He's about 16 - 17 weeks. Here are a couple of photos. THANK YOU!

I think that it is a rooster because of the pointier crest feathers and the way that the crest feathers seem more "flyaway" than rounded. Hope this helps!Can anyone help?
