From way back when I had geese, geese are very easy to vent sex because the gander has a penis located right inside the vent.
Can anyone tell the sex of this brown Chinese goose just by looking at it? Peepers is 4 months old with a deeper hoarse voice, but acts very much like Frankie the white male Chinese goose. I am hoping Peepers is a she, otherwise I might have to fine another home for it. Thanks.
Thanks for your reply. If I do this its gonna take my husband & I both to handle Peepers. I haven't had contact with Peepers since he/she was one week old at which time I gave Peepers back to the surrogate mother duck. When this goose was 1 or 2 days old I vent sexed it and another baby goose and was pretty sure I had one female and one male. Later on, one of them was caught by a predator and I don't know which sex survived as they looked identical. It's driving me crazy to know.
