Crossing a Serama with a big chicken?

Okay, I have a pretty little pair of beautiful Seramas. I don't usually cross my chickens. All my breeds are seperated, I have good quality birds, what I consider a responsible breeding program, and all that good stuff.
But, I got the thinking how awesome a SeramaXGiant Cochin would look. Just to hatch a few eggs and have a few in my pen of pets.
I know better than to cross a Serama hen with anything, as the baby could EASILY get too big for the egg. But, why not cross my tiny Serama roo, Cliff, with one of my giant Cochin girls, Henrietta?
So, my question is, is Cliff capable of doing such a thing, and has any one tried it? Not necessarily with a giant Cochin, but crossing a Serama with anything but another Serama, or a bantam.
Is there any dangers I've overlooked? Both birds are very cooperative, and I'm sure they'd both let me give Cliff a boost, so the speak, lol!
Is it possible for the egg to be too big for the baby, and is this just all in all a bad idea?
I know I'd probably never be able to sell the babies, but I don't really want to. I just think the babies would look absolutely awesome, and think it'd be a fun experiment. When I crossed my SilkieXCochin frizzle with my bantie Polish, the results were hilarious, I'll have to dig up some pics of the two roos it got. But, being a bantieXbantie I didn't think anything of it.
Has anyone tried crossing a Serama with a standard or giant breed, and is it safe? Pics welcome!
Here's a pic of Cliff and Henrietta. Henri is my biggest Cochin hen, and Cliff is a Class A Serama. It just seems like a strange thing to do, but I am extremely curious pf what the chicks would look like!
And on a side note, I've included a pic of one of Cliff's legs. What's the deal with the red dots? Most of my roos have them. ONLY my roos have them. I would think mites, but they've all been medicated and it's only the roos. Is it some kind of 'attract the girls' type thing?
Oh, and also I'm so excited cause I have my first Serama babies hatching on Wednesday!!!!!

And please no comments about 'don't cross breed just for the fun of it, have a reason' or anything like that. If it's dangerous, I absolutely will not do it. If it's safe, I see no reason why I shouldn't try.

Hi. Don't really have an answer to your question as to the safety, but wanted to be subscribed to see the results if you do the cross. I have some Seramas, and the one little rooster is very small. I have never seen a fertile egg from him, but it is not for lack of trying, I think he just can't reach. Or maybe he's shooting blanks. Either way, okay with me because the coops are full for now.

Love to see some pics if you can find them.

Good luck! Once the Cochins start laying, don't wait too long. They go broody quick! At least my bantam Chochins did.

Think you can cross a Great Dane with a Chihuahua? Hmmm... Going to research that too.

OKay, I've heard Cochins are great broodies, I'm hoping they are cause my silkied can't fit on hardly and eggs at all, lol!
I accrually know someone who has a dog who is a Doberman pincher mixed with a chihuahua. Cool little dog, I'm pretty sure the Doberman was the mom...I hope so anyway...lol!

That must have been one resourceful little Chihuahua!
