Out of curiosity, how'd you get your "Walk softly" line to show up? I tried, but wasn't bright enough to figure it out.

8x8x8 sounds good. You're always better off building big.

A 4x8 coop might be a little squishy. And a big coop makes it much easier for you to maneuver and place roosts, nest boxes, etc. exactly where you want them.

I like the idea of raising the coop on cinder blocks. I've heard of people doing that.

As for the run size, if you want it 10 ft wide, maybe 4x10 or 5x10? I mean, you could get away with a lot less, but if you're going to go to the trouble of building it, you might as well make it worth your while. The size is totally up to you, of course.

Keep us updated on your plans! Sounds like this setup will be great.
