Hello everyone I have raised birds most of my life that being said, I never incubated quail eggs this late in the year and I am having a hard time with my temp. because of the out side temp being 101 to 104 this summer, Just wondering how you are supposed to keep your incubator at 99 degrees. I do not have a cooler or air in my bird house and even with the fans and windows open it still jumps up to 101 every now and then.

If your temp is only jumping to 101 I would not worry. I have my bator set at 100.0. At times it varies between 99.0 to 101.3. As long as it is not spike and staying above 102 you should be okay. I think if you continue to do what you are doing with the windows and fans you should be ok.

As long as it was not long enough to raise the internal temp of the egg you will be fine. You may have an early hatch if your temp consistently runs higher.

well my first eggs have started to hatch I had four at 12 noon today and today is day16 so I guess that my temp most have been OK other than the one time that it jumped to just over 101..now if the other 196 hatch it will be a good set.
