Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. Most breeds typically start laying from 5-6 months, so Snuffy should begin laying within the next few weeks. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Snuffy is a cute name for a silkie. Hope you see some eggs soon. I know that can feel like a long wait but it will be worth it once she starts.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. I think Snuffy will probably start laying at 5-6 mos. of age. You may also want to post at the "Silkie thread."
