How about the seeds and goop from inside a cantaloupe when you clean it? Can the girls have that?

Yep, mine gobble them up and get cantaloupe all over their heads.

We've had temps over 110* this week. I've got canteloupe in the fridge specifically for the girls. I take half down every afternoon and the gobble the seed up first, before I can even set it down. Great way to help cool them down during the heat of the day.
Yep mine like the seeds best of all. They always eat them first.

LOL!! Nope, no brain freeze (that I've noticed, anyway!)
Watermelon, pumpkin, cucumber, zucchini, anything with seeds, they love. They'll even take the seeds out of the stale seeded/nutty bread I take them every once in a while.

Well, that's all good to know. They had their first cantaloupe seeds yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed them.
I'll have to keep an eye out for brain freezes. It's bound to be entertaining. I'm pretty sure I have one gal with a permanent one. DH rather kindly says she hears her own drummer. She certainly hears and sees things no one else does! Such fun!

Just gave my girls half a Cantaloupe (cold, since its warm here today) for the first time and at first they walked around it and were leery, but as soon as one discovered the seeds in the middle it was a feeding frenzy with my one 'leader' girl chasing the others for their seeds and standing on top of the melon to try to claim it all. haha!
