headless puzzle

Bells work well. Have neighbor come over and scare chickens with bell so chicken know bell mean danger. Good luck with dern owl!

It appears that we do not have just ONE owl but THREE! We only realized they were there when they happened to eat parts of the guineas but now we know that they have been taking the baby ducks and we heard them all on 3 sides of the property.

Whatever you do never set a small steel trap on the top of a high fence post and then wire the trap high enough to the upper portion of the post to keep any trapped owls from reaching the ground.

Warning, this set up will pinch the toes of every owl who happens by, so whatever you do, never use it.

You likely have five. I have three juveniles and could see all three at same time minutes ago. The juveniles tend to perch high and screech while the adults perch lower while hunting and make very little noise. I am trying to film mine taking a chicken carcass as well record response of other chickens.

We didn't put a small steel trap on top of our highest pole and nail it so an un suspecting owl would gets its toes pinched......
