Broken toe?

Looks like the toe you are concerned about is the front center one. Is the one to her right also somewhat angled and rotated or just looks that way in photo?

Assuming it is just the one toe - I don't see swelling or redness, the area of the angulation appears to be in the joint. If she walks, scratches normally, then I would leave it alone. With no signs that it is an acute injury, then likely it has already healed - their bones heal up in only 2-3 weeks. If the injury is in the joint, it has likely already fused.

There is a paucity of information on what to do about toe injuries, and the only direct information I can find is from "the Dummies Chicken Health" book which recommends for a closed toe fracture to confine if limping or in pain for 2-3 weeks and let it heal on its own.

It is flexible so probably the joint? Not sure about the other toe to the right of center. Will have to look at again as it may also be where I had her on my lap to get the picture. She seems fine but I will be watching her more going forward to make sure no issues.

I would observe her walking, especially up and down the chicken ramp or on a firm surface. If she does so without any limp or problem, then I would leave it alone.

But if you notice other toes on both feet also angling, would have to rethink this.
