I'm not sure where the appropriate place is for this post so feel free to move it if necessary!

I've started a website to keep a log of our homestead and just to share stories as we go. I would like to have it be a more interactive opportunity for people to ask questions, comment, and even start their own topics if they want. I need suggestions on how to make it more interactive friendly and/or inviting!

I guess I also have two questions. 1) What do you think would be a good way to increase the number of people visiting from this type of community? 2) How in the world do I make it (the website itself) more interactive!? It's through wordpress and understand this is not the community to ask for tech help! :) but wanted to throw it out there! :)

I have received feedback about adding pictures and such so that is DEFINITELY in the works along with videos.

If you want, please take a look and let me know what you think!

**Full Disclosure: I do sell a few things on there too**

In reading your blog, I noticed you ask a lot of questions. It's not immediately apparent how you expect people to answer you.

Furthermore, you need a hook to get people to hit your site. Why not do some research on some of the popular homesteading reality shows and post some "not so well known" information about them. Make sure you cite your references so that you don't get accused of plagiarism.

You could also have a tab where people can exchange pioneer recipes.......maybe a buy and sell or trade for your immediate area.
