After years of looking over my husband's shoulder at his BYC account, I've finally decided to start my own. We live in Boulder County, CO and have been keeping chickens since 2010 - first in Northern CA, and now in CO as of November 2014. We have one RIR (Daisy, my Red Queen) a brown leghorn (Betty), and an Australorp (Lady Jane) I'm hoping to add an Easter Egger to my flock tomorrow to replace the Lace- winged Wyandotte we recently lost to a skunk.
The wonderful BYC forums have guided me thru everything from mites & scaly leg, to egg-boundness and coop building. Many thanks to you all for the wise words and willingness to share! I hope i can return the favor with my own two cents one day!
Cheers!

I'm sure you can add to the site. You have a lot of no how by now!

We are neighbors. I live in Utah. Love love, the Red Sex Links!

Welcome to BYC!

With the experiences you've already gone through, you'll be a lot of help to new members.

Thanks for joining us!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm sorry about your loss to the skunk. It's always sad to lose one of our flock. I love your chickens' names.) If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.
