My chickens like to hang out under an old truck my husband refuses to get rid of. I was leaning against the truck watching them scratch at the ground. Gus, my rooster, found a small worm and started his dance and little cooing noise. He picked up the worm and dropped it. Two hens came running over, very excited for a tasty treat. Gus picked it up and dropped it once more. The two girls were just about to scrap over it when he swooped in and sucked it up! I said, "well that was rude." he looked at me and walked off leaving the hens pecking the ground still looking for the treat he called them over for.
I think it was payback because he wasn't getting any lovin' from the girls today. Smh
