To report this.
While at work on Sunday I had a lady come through my line. I noticed her package of hamburger had had a hole punched through it. I asked her if she wanted a new package in exchange for this damaged one. She said no she had poked the package herself. I must of looked perplexed. She explained that our store the burger always looks brown and not red so she pokes a hole through the package to see if it is red all the way through. If it is not she puts it in a plastic bag and tosses it to the back of the cooler case.
This has been going on for quite awhile. We had all been watching for little kids who might have been poking holes in the burger not a 50+ year old woman!
I wrote a note to the owner to let them know what she had told me. She had also told another co-worker who also reported it. I had another co-worker by my side when she told me what she was doing. So there was 3 of us who had her tell us what she was doing.
Owner was not happy since they have had to throw this burger out.
They spoke with her about it and tried to explain why some places have burger that stays red longer and since the owners do not want to add chemicals to their burger ours turns brown faster. Nothing wrong with it other then the color.
I was at the till waiting on another customer when she came up and pretty much slapped my arm and asked me if I got employee for the month for telling on her and called me b-word.
My mouth dropped open and so did my customers. I calmly walked away found the owner and reported it. He told this woman she is no longer welcome in the store.
Found out she was bad mouthing me all over FB tonight. I blocked her; she was never a friend; and told those who are part of my friends list who are friends with her to just unfriend me since none had bothered to ask her the whole story.
