You all know who you are. That turtle under the bucket is getting pretty cranky. Blooie, I think you had the last feeding patrol. So... I'll take a turn. Not only did I flip his bucket... he's currently sitting under Bee's rocking chair. But, he's had a pretty big lump of hamburger, and is now munching on a chunk of lettuce. WOOEEE! Did that bucket stink! He looks pretty proud of himself, sitting in the sun, chomping on that lettuce. Not a care in the world!

Home news: New run is almost totally covered. Flock is free ranging the garden. They act guilty. They'll sneak in and grab a tomato, run onto the lawn to eat it! I think they know they're trespassing on forbidden territory! Still need to harvest potatoes, carrots, garlic, and herbs for drying. Need to move big tractor onto garden and cover with poly for winter cold frame.
 
Okay LG, I had my son's turtle in a bucket for a few days while I was relocating her from the back to the front porch.... and you, and sour, and bunny, add and Blooie mentioned the one you have under the bucket...
I need some details.
What type of turtle? Why is it under the bucket? Who does it belong to? Terrestrial or aquatic?

Was it a bad turtle? Did it get in trouble?
Does it have a name? Who found this turtle?

And why are you keeping poor said turtle under the bucket instead of in the bucket?
And is it all Sourland's fault? Did Sourland have something to do with said turtle's capture and incarceration?

I can keep it for a while but I would put it in the empty aquarium and give some amenities.. and name it... and then you might not get it back...

reptiles have rights too you know.

This turtle is legendary. He's been living on the porch for as long as any of us can remember. He really doesn't cause any problems, though, he occasionally drags his bucket from one side of the porch to the other. He's just always been there, kind of like the mascot. You know... gotta have a mascot, while we're sitting on the porch, swapping stories, eating our cheese cake and sipping our iced tea!
 
That sounds nice- tea, turtles, and cheese cake.
I sat on the porch in the beginning -long ago, but I do not breed chickens and soon I had nothing to say. I dragged my toe around a bit and then wandered off to play with the dogs or something.
 
Don't need to breed chickens. What ever is going on in your life is fodder to keep folks chawing the fat on the porch!!!

Don't you wish real life was slow enough for that???

NO! I did not deprive the turtle of its freedom. As a youth I captured many a wild thing, but they were always returned to freedom. I have to admit that my mother was not thrilled when I freed a gallon jug of fireflies in my bedroom - what a pretty sight.
