Hello,

Been lurking for a few months collecting as much knowledge for my start-up coop. Just about finished construction of the coop and run, and anxious to add the RTL hens. Totally new to raising chickens, so any info you wish to share would be greatly appreciated.

Here are a couple pics of the coop during various stages of construction. Coop is constructed of all re-purposed wood; pallets, fencing, and wall studs from a house renovation. Not a dime spent on lumber!!!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining.) Your coop is really cute. Thanks for posting the pics. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Looks like you've done a good job using all recycled materials, that is a real cost saver. If you have any questions about finishing the coop or just want to share your coop build story, here's where you could post:

We are new too. I'm amazed at the tons of info. I surely did not know there was so much to raising chickens! Good luck!
