When my Guy finally gave the okay on chickens, I didn't have a big choice though now I am glad. That was the cutest darn box of chicks ever! All Alive. Week old now. There were 25 straight run assorted, 6 Americana/Arucana pullets and one free exotic. If you know any of these, that would be great~

I call these the Chipmunks. Wondering if they may be the Ameruacana. McMurray's are a mix, not for show. I have never had this breed and the photo on the hatchery website shows that they can look very different as chicks so they may be one of the others. Thought I had a better shot - I could retake these in smaller groups. All have stripes on their backs and barred wings.

This cutie has been dubbed Babs. Keeping it even if a roo. I think it is a White Polish?

Actually took this photo at the end when I realized these two looked alike.

One of these is not like the others, one of these does not belong! I think there is another that looks like that one.

Two that are not quite white. I see that their wing colors are different now.

See "penguins" next picture. The one in front should have been with those with the black legs and black beaks. The other two look similar but more mottled and have yellow beaks and legs.

Calling these my penguins. Sooooo cute and very friendly.

Realized these didn't look alike taking the pic. see bottom photo where I paired the one on the right correctly. Otherwise, no chick in here twice!

This little one is colored differently, almost silvery. I put the toilet paper roll in for size comparison.

Reddish with barred wings and a few dark spots on head.

My little vultures! Black turkens I think. They have attitude.

White chicks, very different sizes not fully apparent. One seems to be a meat bird, largest chick I have and almost lumbers.

I realized these were mismatched taking the photo. The only chick I took a second picture of is above with its look alike.

The 6th photo down looks like the two in the back are silver laced wyandottes as the combs are rose. Not sure on the rest blond ones might be buff orps.

I would especially like to figure out what my little penguins are. They are black on top and yellow underneath with yellow spot at top of wing and they have black beaks and legs. Very friendly. I am hoping most of them are girls!

I do realize that McMurray's are not that true to breed. I am just having fun with these. Pets that lay eggs! In the past I have had bantams (that was long ago and I didn't know different breeds they were all just small colorful chickens), RIR, buff orpingtons, and silkies (those were from a breeder). Been a while, excited to have chickens again!

Those are either going to be black jersey giants or australorps. Something about the bottoms of there feet if its yellow its jersey giants i think if pink its australorps or vise versa.

I received my order about three weeks ago didn't have quite as many breeds. I did have several of the ones in the first pic. I am thinking they are Easter Eggers. They say their Ameracauns are not true to breed.

Either one would be fabulous, thank you!!!

The two I just checked had yellow feet bottoms. :)

In checking the pics at the websites, I would still say one or the other. I suspect I cannot tell from the feet color yet. But it gives me an either or to consider as they grow.

Yes, after reading thru a thread here on those breeds, I think it is probably best to refer to them as Easter Eggers. Going to be fun to see the colors are they grow and the eggs. How are yours doing? Looks like you got some like my penguins as well which are likely to be jersey giants or australorps.

@HTChick. They are doing well. All getting feathered out. My little penguins now have white stripes and some look mottled. Still have two that haven't changed much. I'll take a pic when I get home. My little exotic is a top hat I think. They seem healthy that's what counts.

The chicks with a spot on their heads are either going to be barred rocks or domineques if they have rose combs they would be doms single combs are barred rocks could also be cuckoo marans but i highy doubt it. Id say barred rocks.
