I'm getting a welsummer rooster tomorrow and the guy said he just got out of molting and doesn't have his tail feathers yet I was wondering is it a guarantee that he will fertilize all of my soon to be hens.i have 6 pullets due to be laying in a month and bye the time the rooster gets out of quarantine they will be laying. The reason I ask is because if I sell the fertile eggs I want to make sure they are fertile . And will molting make him not mate with the hens.
