I have a Buff Orpington that I thought was going broody for the better part of a week. Last week she stubbed her middle right toe & has been limping around and holding it up.
She did that before she started acting broody. She's about 7 months old & does not have the same weight as the other 2 BOs. Sometimes, usually daily, I will pull her out for an inspection & hand feed her some live mealworms and other food if she will eat it. She seems to have a below average appetite, though I have only seen her drink a few times, but I can't watch her around the clock. Whe all of the lock was getting ready to go into the coop, I noticed she was trying to go poop several times & nothing seened to happen. Then it finally did, however this odd thing was on the ground. It's a bulb looking thing with a twisted cord attached. I rinsed it off & took these pix. The brown specs are dirt that didn't wash off. Any body have any idea if it's internal parts that dislodged from her?
