Is it a good time to worm the flock during the fall molt. Egg p r oduction is down. But dont want to stress them. Would use valbazen...last wormed in january.

There are differing opinions about this. Some say molting is stressful, and that the birds should not have added stress by worming. Others don't like to wait for worm medicines to clear the system and wait for an egg withdrawal time of 14 days from the last or second dose. Valbazen is pretty safe, but some say not to use fenbendazole (SafeGuard liquid or paste, Panacur) because it may affect feather regrowth (according to Merck Veterinary Manual.)
