Lol, my apologies, the middle pic is just for reference. I found it online after someone on FB suggested that breed! I had posted in my hometown listing and a couple of people think she belongs to a man about 10 blocks away. He used to have three black hens who would escape regularly. I don't know him but it's a busy street corner and eventually the number of hens dwindled. So either he doesn't want her (or doesn't know she's been found) or doesn't deserve her (needs a better coop?).

I rode by several times today where she's been hanging out and didn't see her.

Speaking of ugly, I once had a 7-toed silky who was just not much to look at, but this black girl...well, I guess buzzard is pretty fitting.

My kids have flown the coop so now I have one wonderfully patient husband, three dogs, two cats, fish and now hens:  1 black ameraucana, 1 brauma, 3 easter eggers and a silkie!

There are two lasting bequests we can give our children. One is roots. The other is wings. ~Hodding Carter, Jr.
