Winter feeding

As you know winter will be here soon....I got all there feed and bedding but should I be wanting to add more protein when winter sets on? Foods in general.

I gave mine extra protein & cracked corn couple of times a week to keep them warm during winter.
 
Chickens use calories to create heat.

Corn is a good source of inexpensive calories.

Many will give them a treat of extra corn before nightfall to add to the caloric intake while sleeping.

Personally, I don't.

I don't do anything differently, I always allow food upon demand.
