Hello,

I have two magpies (brother and sister) They are about 10 months old. Our male duck (Joey) was our love bug and would always come snuggle and follow us everywhere around the yard
etc. Recently he has been very standoffish and runs when we come near him. Yesterday we came home and there were feathers everywhere! Both of their white flight wings were gone and other feathers had been pulled out. I heard they start molting and that this could change their personalities. Im very said that he runs from us now. (Pheobe his sister always ran..lol) Any advice from someone that this has happened to? Ive read he may change back to his old self after when he isn't as stressed.

Hey y'all. I made a separate post about this, but didn't get any answers to my question, so thought I would try here. I have 2 magpies... they are the only ducks I have. I recently hatched out 4 of their eggs, and three look just like magpie ducklings should look, but one is solid yellow without a bit of black on him. Any ideas why this would be? Here is a picture of the parents.

Occasionally when you Breed Magpies together you get an all white duckling which are called stanbridge whites. Just search stanbridge white on here and you'll get a nice article.
