Cheapest way to cull a laying flock for dog food

I'm not sure I understand why you want to cull the younger ones to start over,especially if they are laying. Also,If you intend on starting over, teaching the dogs to kill,would make them want to try getting into your pen even more. I had a dog, that got out of its kennel. Actually squeezed through the door, and get into my family members flock in the back yard. Killed 5,would have killed them all if the rest werent in the shed on top other cages. I rehomed him. This dog was never by chickens,only in the kennel. Training them to kill? Doesn't sound smart to me.
 
Why not sell the younger ones that are laying well on craigslist? You could probably sell them for $20 each, and then you'd only have to process the older ones.
 
If you advertise the ones you would like to cull you may find people who want them for training herding dogs, etc. My ducks are used to train my border collie stockwork. No ducks are injured, the ducks are stressed minimally, and I rehome them after a year. So people who use ducks for training will buy new ducks at least once a year (unless they are breeding their flock as I am). Otherwise I'd recommend making sure you have the help of someone experienced before butchering ducks. Done incorrectly you can prolong suffering which isn't fair to the ducks.
