Good news. The guy I bought my now, dead rosecomb from is going to sell us 1-2 more hens if he has some good ones to choose from. That's the bright side. We do have to drive from Michigan to Indiana to get them though.
Are you going to quarantine? 40 days as far away from your birds as possible/

A rosecomb what? What breed?

Quite right... many people do raise just one species, and those people don't usually have issues with blackhead, and many peafowl breeder keep same age chicks together, and some of us keep them off the dirt until they are 3-6 months old.

This is how one person (AugeredIn) keeps theirs:

Raising poultry is simple - unless one complicates it by raising multiple species together and breeding as well.

But, when they do get to the ground they receive all the Pathogens together! Do you have any statistics on the % of death comparing the 2 methods?

Excellent point.

Kathy with this fellow here no problem to do what ever you do, to your birds!
