Good Day!

I started with a very small raised bed garden three years ago and guess what....... 3 gardens, plans for a 4th and a "regular" garden coming this spring. This month's project is repurposing an old shed to a chicken coop. Losing daylight after work has made that project grind to a slow crawl. I don't have any chickens yet but had them as a kid. I just don't remember all the decisions having to be made that i read about now. We had a shed, fenced run and a yard. It seemed so easy back then. Anyway, looking forward to advice, stories and tips.

I'm originally from the St. Louis area and all of my family still live there. We were raised on the lakes and rivers and I knew what to expect. When I moved to Florida 15 yrs ago, salt water fishing was a new world. SOOO many things can give you a nice painful sting or bite; gloves and pliers are a must have. After my first trip off shore, I was hooked. There's something about the wide open blue water, salt in air and the big fights. Since my wallet doesn't support offshore fishing very often I turned back to the gardening and raising chickens. It reminds me of home back in MO but with two growing seasons and no snow to shovel.
