Hello everyone,

I am new to BYC and am excited to make new contacts and learn from all of you! I have owned chickens for a while but I have recently decided to own and love "Pure breed" Ameraucanas only. I currently have 8 3 week old chicks and 7 under 1 week old chicks. Including Black, Blue and Splash variety. I am very happy with these birds and have had the pleasure of buying them from a wonderful breeder right here in my home state.

I would love to get in touch with more Ameraucana owners and talk birds!

I cannot wait to see how these babes turn out, If they are anything like the flock they came from I will be one happy momma.

I would love to hear from others on the pros and cons of this breed. health issues to look out for. Information on genetics, showing - what to look for in breeding for the best and tips for keeping them happy.

Thanks! I like all breeds I'm just especially interested in the Ameraucanas since they are new to me. What breed do you have? I also have a Bantam black rose comb and a Bantam Brahma.
