The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Thanks Debby, me too!
It’s not just land and equipment. There’s fertilizer and seed and crop insurance and costly repairs. I have a friend whose husband likes to smack talk farmers and how rich they are. Makes me want to smack him but it’s the life we chose. Hubby worked a full time job and farmed after work for many years.
I cannot imagine the cost to water everything.

Hoping the female will lay blue eggs, she and the male are both large, and have nice coloring.
She won't, she's crossed with a brown layer. If she got a Blue egg gene from dad she could lay green.

Everyone needs a break sometimes, and this is definitely a good time for your's.
Yep!!! If you get too far behind just jump to the end and ask if you missed anything important.

The rooster is actually an easter egger. Most of his daughters lay blue or green. The mother is a brahma. All of my brahmas lay a very light pink egg. So that's why I'm hoping for blue. But I suppose light green will probably be as close as it gets.
