I agree with DD - doubt I could keep my hands from shaking to feed those tiny ones. Great pic.
Their little heads would be bobbin' around with my shaky hands.

It isn't unusual to lose some quail chicks. Every time we've hatched we've lost one or two. So don't beat yourself up. They are cute aren't they!?Quick update. We've been through the mill. I had 5 then one died, then one hatched, now it looks like he likely won't make it either. I'm glad that I know more about the incubator's behavior but it's so frustrating to see these sweet little fluff puffs die. The first 4 are doing great and growing like weeds. Still grateful for that. They all run in a pack. They run out from under the mama brooder and eat and drink then one will head toward the heat and they all run back together.
Debby, hope that today provides no major surprises.

Great news, Debby. Glad the kitchen seems off to a good start. Wish we all could be there, too! What fun that would be.So far, so good Sour! The cook and I finalized the menu and went over some procedure stuff. I now have the initial shopping list, probably take a moving van to get it all back to the restaurant. One fun thing from this morning...we've hooked back up with the spice merchant we used to use for our shop in Key West, they're fabulous and I'm really glad to be working with them again.
Wish you all could be here Saturday for the season opening!
Dawn, so sorry to hear of the loss. Don't give up, every hatch you do will go smoother and probably produce more babies.
