Turkey starter feed and layer feed

In order to resolve a feeder picking issue and help with molting we are now feeding our 4 ladies with 2/3 layer feed and 1/3 turkey starter feed. All the nutrition facts are the same except the protein 17% vs 26% and the calcium 3.5% vs 1%. Is our ratio ok? The lady at the store says she uses an half and half ratio all year long.

They don't need the higher Ca at this point and the mix is 20% protein which works well for me year round with all the garden and kitchen scraps I feed. Just offer additional Ca when they start laying again.
