I am incubating 6 chicken eggs (Day 18) and this morning when I got up my 3 cockatiel birds were looking and chirping at the incubator. I candled on day 17 and it looks like I have 6 chicks. I was just wondering if my birds can hear the chicks peeping.
 
Does that mean that my chicks could hatch within the next couple of days?!
 
Yes this is my first hatch. My incubator has been at a solid temperature of 40°C. Lets hope for some chicks on Thursday!

I've been known to play chicken sounds for my eggs (on my cell phone). I downloaded a clip of a hen cackling, when I play it, the eggs will peep back to it (pretty darn adorable).
 
I candled them at day 17 and all the air cells looked good so I hope that I get at least 3 chicks
 
OMG!!!! I am so happy it is day 20 and we have a pipped egg!! I think seeing as it is rememberance day in Aus and it is also my beautiful step-mums bday I am going to call it Kimonique-Poppy!!!
