White "stuff" on my chickens face??

Hen has white stuff on her face....not sure what it is or if I should worry. None of the others have it. Any advice is appreciated.

Some of my young birds have this as well, I just figured it was dander from their first molt.

Did you ever get an answer on this....my chicken seems to have it too.

All I can see on the bird in the OP's pic is the last bit of keratin sheaths on new feathers that came in.

wife to long suffering husband who has built more miles of fence, barns, coops and enclosures then one man should have to, two teenage boys, current flock of 13 assorted hens, 1 big red roo and a list of other assorted farm animals.
