New to incubating, temperature help needed ASAP.

wet the sponge with warm water, you should notice a build up of condensation, if not then you're loosing your humidity though vent holes and may need to limit the intake of fresh air (but not completely)

There's a good amount of concentration. I'll try and get another sponge in there.

Is that good or bad this early? The eggs are from day 1 to day 7 that are in right now. I was going to wait on this most recent egg until I had a few more but my mom braved her fear of chickens (mostly the roo) and got the egg that I was leaving in there so the hen would keep laying. I didn't have the heart to tell her it was supposed to be in the nest box so I went ahead and placed it in the incubator after it got to room temp (it's really cold/cool out around 36 ferenhiet at night) around 45 mins ago.

you don't want high humidity during the first 18 days and a lot of us dry incubate during that time where we don't add any water unless the air cell is getting too big. an egg has to loose moisture during this time so as not to drown the chick and to also allow it room to zip.
